motivi di ordine elevato per "giustificare" la nostra forte delusione nel
6N. Semplicemente, a mio avviso i giocatori inglesi (e irlandesi) sono stati
superiori. Attualmente sono nettamente superiori ai nostri. Che c'è di
male a riconoscere che il tuo avversario è superiore? Nello sport, secondo me,
non si può dire: in effetti loro giocano meglio di noi ma...questo è
essenzialmente dovuto a...inoltre se non ci fosse capitato questo
allora....ma nooo quel che conta è essere superiori o inferiori! Per diversi
anni abbiamo avuto dei giocatori all'altezza di alcuni fra i migliori in Europa.
E' stato un periodo. E' finito. Non tornerà più! Adesso si tratta di trovare
giocatori migliori e di rischiare. Non è un problema di management federale! La
Scozia può avere un buon management ma se non trova anche lei
ottimi giocatori non vince. La Scozia adesso non ha gli stessi
centri, gli stessi mediani, poi le stesse 3linee di qualche anno
fa. Non cercherei troppi alibi nella federazione che scassa tutto il
sistema. Nel nostro caso forse i campioni vanno cercati anche in aree
geografiche diverse. Nello sport vince chi ha più fame! Se Treviso ha fame, ben
venga Treviso! In realtà non ci sono molti managers nel rugby italiano ma
forse non ci sono mai stati. Invece dei managers a noi italiani non
dispiace l'immagine dell'uomo solo al comando. In realtà in campo ci vanno
i giocatori, non gli autocrati con le loro pancette! Sono i giocatori che
in campo fintano o non fintano, che variano o non variano le direzioni di
gioco, che interpretano o no l'avversario, sono i giocatori che vincono o
perdono le touches. Il CT è il responsabile di una squadra, è lui che porta in
campo una squadra ben allenata oppure si deve

dare delle grandi basi motorie a coloro che poi andranno nelle accademie.

siamo condizionati dalla mentalità della sconfitta con onore ma nel rugby,
come nella vita, le sconfitte vanno sì accettate ma non giustificate. Se una
squadre perde ha perso, punto e basta. Bisogna analizzare come mai e, partendo
dalle cose positive (che ci sono sempre) correggere gli errori. Qualcuno si
sognerebbe mai di dire che un chirurgo ha operato molto bene ma il paziente è
morto perché non è stato abbastanza veloce a suturare l'arteria
recisa? <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P></DIV>

se la smettessimo di fare pubblicità al rugby con immagini di giocatori grandi
e grossi che si rotolano sul fango e cominciassimo a far capire ai ragazzini
che per giocare a rugby e fare sport bisogna essere in forma ed allenati e
saper correre, oltre che saper passare/prendere e calciare la palla, forse
cominceremmo a capire qual'è la strada per essere competitivi e le idee di
gioco di Brunel troverebbero maggior terreno

il fatto che sconfitte del genere come oggi con l'Inghilterra ci sono sempre
state, e da parte di ogni squadra, vedi come nel caso della Scozia la
disfatta ha causato l'immediato licenziamento del selezionatore (tra
l'altro recepito malissimo dai giocatori), qual'è il male dell'Italia? E'
vero come scrive Federico che non abbiamo più certezze in avanti: penso
che Brunel abbia lavorato molto sulla psicologia di gioco, ma l'aspetto
tecnico-agonistico sia stato trascurato. Si veda anche la Francia. Da quello
che si è notato oggi, forse quello che manca al momento nel clan azzurro è
semplicemente il duro lavoro. I gallesi sono usciti male da Twickenham ma
si sono ripresi con un training durissimo. Sembra che attualmente nelle
istanze del rugby italiano si siano congelate le spinte al rafforzamento
dei clubs e dei giocatori. Manca un rafforzamento fisico ed economico del
nostro patrimonio di gioco. Senza fare analisi catastrofiche, talvolta
veritiere ma insufficienti, sarebbe bene capire il perché di questa
fragilizzazione delle forze in campo in Italia. Sembra che non ci sia più nei
clubs ed in nazionale chi affronta il confronto con i giocatori con un
colloquio "franco e sincero". E' tutta colpa di Gavazzi? Magari! Ho
l'impressione che la "base produttiva" del nostro rugby manchi anche di una

che questo torneo è finito. Era tanto non vedevo un'Italia così depressa e
deprimente. Secondo alcuni è un problema fisico, secondo me è mentale. In
questo torneo ho visto raramente una squadra unita, che gioca con fiducia.
La Scozia sarà al nostro livello, ma con la Francia ha fatto una partita
bellissima. Noi sembriamo spersi, senza capo né coda, con poca voglia.
Abbiamo chiaramente dei veri problemi nei ruoli chiave, ma se cominciano a
vacillare pure le certezze in mischia e in touche dove vogliamo andare? Lo
spogliatorio è di nuovo spaccato, come ai tempi di Mallett? Abbiamo un
capitano che non fa il capitano: perfetto per le conferenze stampa, inutile
se non dannoso per trascinare e unire i compagni. Boh, la situazione è
veramente deprimente, vorrei sapere che ne pensa Gavazzi al riguardo.
